Last Saturday we stopped by Windy City Habitat for Humanity's newest Block Build in West Pullman. They teamed up with Lowe's to give back to the community by helping out families, located on S Lowe Avenue between 119th and 120th, on home improvement projects and repairs.
We felt incredibly lucky to have been contacted with Windy City Habitat for Humanity and to learn about the work they do in Chicago. It was amazing to see volunteers come together to help these residents tackle big problems in their houses with the right solutions. Sometimes the smallest home repair, like changing a lightbulb, can seem like a daunting task, so seeing the volunteers spend a Saturday facing hard tasks for others was extremely touching. Habitat for Humanity and Lowe's are doing amazing things for our city!
